Deathly Hallows

Okay, for those who know me in real life, my love for Harry Potter is a bit....ridiculous.  When I first moved to England the last book came out and I threatened to murder my husband if he so much as spoke to me until I finished it (I'm a quick reader, it took me a day, and that included eating and sleeping....the only times G was allowed to talk to me).  And G and I both desperately want to go to the new Hogwarts adventure park.  Enough that even though we haven't taken a vacation just the two of us since we got married and holy crap do I want to be on a beach somewhere in the sun, I would forgo that to go to the amusement park as a vacation.

So I just saw the trailer for The Deathly Hallows (for the love of God people if you haven't read the books, jump on the bandwagon, I successfully converted G who hadn't read any until I had finished them all).  It's going to be a two part film, and honestly I don't know if I can handle that.  It is going to be epic.  Seriously.  I will be there opening day, in fact I might even have to fly home to keep up with the tradition of seeing the films opening night with my baby brothers (for which I was nearly hung since I saw the last film in England with G and didn't *gasp* wait until returning home to see it with them!).

  2. OH I love Harry Potter!!!! My husband's family had a Harry Potter Halloween party (quite a few years ago now actually) when I had not read the books yet and thought they were 'kids' books. After I started them (SO GOOD) I looked back at the pictures and they were SO COOL. I should send you the link to the pictures - you would love it. They made their whole basement into Diagon Alley and made all sorts of shops (some straight from the books, some modified a bit). Everyone was in costume. You had to take the "Hogwart's Express" (riding lawn mower pulling a cart, but decorated!) to get from your car to the house and they had the Fat Lady to gain access (replaced the door and everything to get the hole in it!). SO fun. :) I can't wait for the movie(s) - they look amazing!!!
