The Best Time For Change

I love summer.  I still prefer spring or autumn, but summer has it's benefits.  Largely, that it's the best time for change.  Some people make resolutions at the new year, as do I.  However, those tend to fizz out while changes I implement in summer stick better.

This summer I am attempting to slowly but surely drop the weight I've had, well, for forever.  Summer makes it easier because I get out moving about more, we eat a lot of lighter meals with fresh produce, fish and drink plenty of water.  And I'm more relaxed during the summer months, less prone to stress eat.

I also love it because I can change habits with things like keeping up the house.  The long hours of sun make me want to move about and organize.  And we have to keep a tidy home if we're having people over for meals and cocktails!

Do you have any goals for the summer?  Or perhaps you planning to have only one goal: to relax?

  1. I agree with you, the choice of fresh fruit and vegetables makes it so much easier and I'm much more active when the days get longer. I also don't crave heavier comfort food so meals are lighter.
