Gratitude

Thank you everyone for all your comments and e-mails.  I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for so many people today.  And I'm breathing again, so I thought I would share.

We began looking for apartments in Maryland and found an apartment complex that we really love.....it even has a dog run!  Right now they only have 1 bed 1 bath available, but I am hoping that I can offer to pay them the first month's rent upfront to hold an apartment if a 2 bed/2 bath opens up in Aug/Sept.  The rent is 4 times the cost of the deposit, so let's hope money talks.

The apartment would be fantastic, what with the dog run, the swimming pool, gym, sauna and playground.  They also allow bigger dogs, so Sophie wouldn't be an issue.  And our bedroom would have our own bath and walk in closet.  Oh, and the apt. has a dining room as well as a fireplace.  And their largest apt. has a very large patio with room for our seating are set and maybe a container garden next summer!  I don't want to get my hopes up, but I am pretty sure we will at least be able to get a 1 bedroom and be put on the waiting list for a 2 bedroom.

I am trying to think positive.  I had my brief freak out earlier.  I cried, I ranted. But I've accepted that this is what is in store for us right now.  And as my maman always says, everything happens for a reason.  Kristen from The Frugal Girl lives up in that area, so I am excited for a chance to meet someone who likes to live frugally!  And I have heard there are so many fun and free things to do in the Maryland/D.C. area that I think we will end up loving it.  Who knows?  Maybe in 4 years they won't be able to convince us to leave!

Today is our 2 year anniversary, so I have better things to focus on.  Mainly what the weather will be like.....we're talking about taking a mini road trip to the beach or a town and exploring!  And I also have to figure out what to cook for dinner.....maybe a picnic in our home?  Does anyone have an opinion about Veuve Cliquot?  We can get it for about $30 a bottle here, and we've heard it's pretty good.  It's at the top of our list for champagnes we've yet to try.  And you all know how I love the bubbly!
