Meet Felicity

Garret and I agonized over this purchase for about 12 hours.  The problem was, we wanted it, knew what we would do with it, and it was pretty inexpensive (I love thrift stores!) but seriously.....we drive a Fusion!  And it didn't come apart.  But we decided we would "make it work" and used string and a plastic drop cloth to cover it (because of course today it decided to rain!), and away we went!  Please meet Felicity:

Isn't she beautiful?  I cannot wait to show you what we're doing with her!

  2. Oh I had complete deja vu reading this post. Last year my boyfriend bought me a beautiful French antique armoire off ebay for my graduation from graduate school. Although we are not furniture refurbishers, we spent the entire summer sanding and painting the armoire together. Its now a gorgeous yellow color with blue and white fabric in the doors. Still needs hardware though... oops! I like to think I'm still looking for the perfect handles and knobs.

  4. Tine-- oh wow, that sounds pretty! This piece has some wear on it, but for now I am leaving it as it. I thought about painting it, but unfortunately for what I have planned it for it wouldn't work. Have you thought about glass knobs? Or ornate ceramic white ones?
