In just a little over 12 hours G and I will be wishing each other a bonne année and sipping bubbly. Another year lived, a new year to live well. I've decided that rather than making a list of resolutions I simply have two. To live a life intentionally, with thought and care, and live it well.
I've got lists galore all the time, recipes I want to try, things I need to do, fashion ideas, crafting ideas, the list of lists goes on and on. So it seems about time that I simply go list free when it comes to a new year rather than adding to my already toppling pile. I want to end 2011 saying, "I lived this year well and I was happy." Sounds simple enough.
This: I want to end 2011 saying, "I lived this year well and I was happy."

ReplyDeleteThat sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteMy friend's mother has a "theme" to every year with a quote from the Bible - here is this years:
Happy New Year! 2011 theme verse: "Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed...(the Lord) generously gives his riches to all who ask for them. " Romans 10:11-12 (NLT) May you ask for and receive the Lord's riches this year-you won't be disappointed!
I love the approaches of both of you to the new year :-)
I think that is the best New Year's resolution I have ever heard! Fabulous. I hope that it is something you can say in a year for sure.
