With the new year approaching I am getting more and more excited. 2011 is shaping up to be an interesting whirlwind of a year in which I am hoping to become so accomplished (what with the knitting classes and the sewing classes and the French, etc, etc) that I shame the women from Jane Austen's period. And doing all of that means I have to keep extremely well organized so as not to overbook myself (I already do that with social activities!). So a few months ago I bought a large purple leather planner by Gallery Leather. G picked up a smaller black one and we were set to go. I've already written in a couple things we have going on in January, and there is just nothing like seeing the new year start out right.
Knowing how happy this made me I decided to pick up another small black one to pass on to one of my dear readers! And in an effort to make it simple I have one little mandatory entry:
Leave a comment telling me one project you hope to accomplish this next year!
Can mine be a truthful but comical entry?
ReplyDeleteI want deliver this baby surrounded by the ones I love, so that my babe enters the world knowing nothing but love.
My first goal is to finish minimalizing my wardrobe, finally letting go of things that were given to me, but not my style.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to sell my house in the coming year.

My project for this year is to archive my old life. I have bought 51 brown envelopes, one for every year, and I intend to go through the whole house and put all the valuable items into the envelopes for safe keeping. Every think else is clutter and MUST GO! With an uncluttered life I will be elegant, chic and happy
ReplyDeleteHope to get a lot of debt taken care of so we can afford/buy a house
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to get four and a half years worth of filing done. I'm tired of looking at boxes and piles of papers. I pay all the bills on time, and can usually find papers I need, but this clutter and disorder is unacceptable, and is mentally weighing me down. It started when I went back to full time work-and my husband was diagnosed with cancer the same year. I'm hoping that publicly stating this will give me the impetus to do something about it! I have personal, work, medical and farm papers to do-yikes!!
ReplyDeleteGetting rid of the cookbooks/magazines/books that I don't use or read. That's my main goal.
ReplyDeleteOooh so fun, I love giveaways!
ReplyDeleteWe are planning to completely gut and rebuild (maybe that's an overstatement) our main floor bathroom. It's currently as updated as one can be that was originally built in 1973...but still needs a lot of work. We are really excited to tackle it, as it's a long-overdue project
I hope to get an exercise routine down. Need to keep my energy levels up, but I hate exercising!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to learn to make my own bottled vanilla.
ReplyDeleteOh am I in time? Would love to win!

PS I typed too fast! I hope to accomplish an overhaul on my house- I have a feeling it will make a difference in my whole life if I can purge a ton of stuff just piling up.
