- Going to the market in Bury to try and get some good cherries and make a clafoutis.
- Drinking copious amounts of tea and coffee in an attempt to stay awake later than 9 p.m. (and stay functional)
- Dancing around the kitchen and living room as we clean and pack.
- Getting excited about moving to MD where there are sure to be tons of thrift stores and markets! Oh, and a lot of fresh sea food. Mmmm.
On a more serious note, my mom's previous boss passed away yesterday. They don't know what exactly caused it, but it progressed from being sick, to being in the hospital, to the ICU very quickly. He's left behind a wife and 4 children, so my thoughts are on them today. It's an unfortunate reminder that life is short. And since G and I have been fighting a bit lately (mainly because we're stressed about moving, and that causes me to tend to pick fights about little things) it's a reminder to me that there are no guarantees in life and I need to appreciate him a bit more.
That being said, please, take the time this weekend to let those around you know how much you love and appreciate them. Life is fragile and I would rather tell those I love how much I love them too much, rather than regret not telling them enough.
I heard about Kevin, it's so terribly tragic... It really does make you think about how quickly things can change!
ReplyDeleteAnd I wrote in my blog :) I will try and keep it updated. I'd been using tumblr but it's not really much of a blog. Just to put pictures up and such.
