This is what I get for never checking anything in the objects section of West Elm. I miss something. I was over reading Young House Love and a blog reader of theirs had sent them a snow globe with a white peacock in it. G and I are doing our living room in the deep peacock colors, and I'm even looking for some great huge wall prints of peacocks to go on either side of the fireplace. And we're doing our downstairs Christmas tree in white, silver, and mercury glass so it doesn't clash with the room. So the peacock would be perfect.
Alas, they no longer sell it. So dear readers, I am sending this out there. If you happen to know of a West Elm still carrying them, please let me know. I will figure out how to Paypal it if you can find it. Or if you see it online (ebay, etc) please give me a heads up. I will be eternally grateful! (as will G who said, "that will be perfect" as he got a huge grin and I could see him imagining shaking it every time he passed because that's just how he is.)
So very lovely. Lily, my gorgeous dog, loves peacocks. They run round my In-law's garden and Lily likes to imagine she can catch one. She never could. But, she likes to pretend that she could.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!
Sorry, I can't help with this one. We have peacocks on my parents place (do you want feathers???) and my little 2 1/2 yr old niece is very cute. She calls the long feathers they have in vases around their house 'feather swords" and likes to get one and fence with people with them! (Very cute - if they break during this strenuous activity she calls them "sad" featherswords. She is always telling me to make sure I get "happy" ones out of the vases for us both to play with!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with hunting to find your peacock.
