Ahem

So, perhaps it's the fever talking but I thought I would share one major benefit of working on our marriage so that perhaps others who are struggling in theirs will be encouraged:

SEX.

Not just more of it, but better.  It's become a time to reconnect rather than simply something you do because hey, you're married and that's what you do.  Garret has never been one that I've had to worry he wouldn't look at me and be attracted, his eyes have always followed me around a room.  But suddenly, I'm looking at him in a whole new way.  Perhaps it's that we're both trying to appreciate one another.  I haven't gotten upset with him for 2 whole days, which doesn't sound like a lot, but this past year or so that's a downright miracle.  And because of that, he hasn't gotten upset with me.  It's been like a calm oasis, and our attraction seems to be sky high.  (and his tight abs he's been working on don't hurt either)

So, if you are thinking that sure you're having struggles but what's the point of working on it?  Well, let me share.  God blessed married couples with this divine thing called sex with someone you trust and love.  And it rocks!  The end.  :)

"The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband.  In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife."
(1 Corinthians 7:4)
