It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!

G and I headed to TJMaxx the other night on our way to our date at Target (if you're in a long term relationship you most likely know what I mean....Target and coffee).  I immediately snatched up this big mercury glass tree.  I wanted a couple others to make a trio, but ended up getting it and deciding it would look awesome with my antique candlesticks.
Then as we headed into the Christmas section I saw these mirror glass ornaments in a variety of colors.  G and I normally would have gone for purple with the silver and turquoise, but we both agreed this deep blue was beautiful.  And when I got home I placed them in my vintage carnival glass bowl (that I picked up a few weeks ago thrifting for $9.99!) and suddenly my buffet in my dining room looks a whole lot more merry!

Still no tree up, but with the chill in the air (that G says smells like winter) and these few decorations it is indeed beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

  2. I think I gasped at the photos. I love it all, the retro vibe, mercury glass, the colors, and your thrift store find. This is the first year I'm doing blue, green and silver for my colors and I'm loving it. I found a vintage silver table top tree and it's very sparkly and looks great with the blues and aqua colors. Bravo, it's a very pretty display!
