Last Minute Blur

We have friends coming over tonight to see G before he leaves.  We decided this while we were at IKEA buying 2 more bookshelves.  I work well under pressure as long as I'm positive I can get it done.  Currently I'm panicking.  The Christmas tree is finally coming down (does that tell you how little we've been in any rooms other than the kitchen and the bedroom these last couple of months?), the sofas are getting moved around, and boxes are being put away until after the guests leave (at which late hour we will be dealing with them).  But I adore the two coming over so it's worth all the blood, sweat and tears!

  3. I operate very well in time pressure situations; my mother was an air traffic controller in the Navy, and I think I inherited her ability to be highly functional when no moment can be spared. It is worth it -- but only if you really love your friends! I hope you have a great party.

  7. Kalee, I've been gone for so long and am ashamed to admit that I just read about G leaving. I will keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers. Enjoy this time you have together and know that this time apart will be just a memory someday.
