Max is a lap kitty. In the sense that he absolutely needs to be on your lap at all times, and has been known to push the computer up off my lap when I'm sitting cross legged and crawl under it. If cold and I'm lying in bed with my knees up, he will crawl under the covers and press himself into the back of my legs. And sometimes this means he gets to join in on story time (though sadly he's generally more interested in t.v. shows).
He seemed relieved when Corduroy found a home. He knows what it's like to be in a store without a home!
*For the record G was reading to me, not the cat. It was one of his favorite childhood books and I had never read it.
What a darling kitty....and a darling husband for reading to you.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Your kitty looks totally engaged in the storybook. Great "feel good" post! Bess
ReplyDeleteMaxi looks so adorable and seems genuinely interested in Corduroy.
ReplyDeleteI almost started crying when I read this. My sweet kitty of 17 years died last Fall (on All Soul's Day - fitting, since she was the dearest soul on the planet). She used to sit on my lap when I would read, too, which was several times a day. I miss her very much, and I'm happy to see that others obtain so much joy and pleasure from their cats.
