Hakuna Matata

This week has been insane.  Didn't make it to D.C. because my friend's daughter had been sick and lack of sleep and pre-med classes all added up to us telling her that's fine.  We'll go another time.  I mean....we kinda live nearby so we're in no rush.  Instead we ended up kidnapping her for lunch up here in Charm City and that was a great time had by all.

G finally e-mailed the highest person he could think of about the water bill.  I wasn't too pleased to come home to a note saying the meter was working and correct, and that there was no sign of a leak from what they could see.  I thought, "Great, I'll be ripping up my sidewalk trying to find it."  But G called them and turns out?  The meter was right......it's the bill that wasn't.  I about screamed with happiness.  That's a chunk of change that now can stay in our bank account.....well, if the military ever puts the money in.  The pay has been wrong, and finally after speaking to a higher up, G was told that this was ridiculous and if they didn't get it right by the 15th then they would drag a first shirt in to handle it.  I was a little worried about it when worried about the water bill but now?  I'm like, eh, it'll be a huge chunk of change that I'll deal with later.

Life is a little mad right now.  A friend and I will be planning a mad hatter's type tea for our friend's birthday and I kind of feel like I'm in that spinning tea cup ride at Disney.  So much going on behind the scenes that I can't wait to share.  I've lost a total of 10 lbs. and have plans to be walking at the gym a lot to help stretch out my leg muscles which seem to have tightened from all the stair climbing.  I've got a show I'm going to on Sunday with all the little old ladies from my church who I simply adore!

And now I have Hakuna Matata stuck in my head!  It's a problem free philosophy!

  2. I'd love to hear about what you've been doing to lose weight. After a couple of kids in the last few years, I'm carrying about an extra 20 pounds that I would love to lose but I'm lost as to how to do it. I've never had to diet and I don't want to diet. I just want to make a few lfestyle little tweaks to help me lose the weight and keep it off. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!
