Juggling

I've got some huge things in the works right now, and I feel like a juggling act.  My first bocce league game is tonight.  I have to mail a big package to G, but realized I was out of butter for the cookies...thinking of subbing in coconut oil.  Since the cookies have raisins and dates I figure that will probably taste really good!

G has been doing excellent in Iraq.  We talk nearly every day, though when he's traveling that's a bit harder.  I've had the moments of panic where suddenly he's not there anymore and of course every horrible possibility rushes through my head.  But I tell myself to breathe, that he's fine, that internet is unreliable over there.  And that on a good day I talk to him for a couple hours, I'm one of the lucky ones.

And now it's nearly 1:30 and I suck at early morning meetings, so I better get my rear in bed.  I've been avoiding it because the weather has suddenly turned uncomfortably warm and my bedroom on the 3rd floor is sweltering.  Nothing to be done other than to turn on the house fan and wait.  I am NOT turning on the a.c. in April.  I will not cave.

  2. I'm glad to hear that G is doing good. Also that you get to talk to him everyday despite the internet disconnecting. What's a bocce game? Sounds interesting. Have a fun at the meeting!
