Joyful But Fearful As Well

The news is reporting all over that Osama Bin Laden is dead, after nearly 10 years of evasion.  And I'm thrilled.  I cannot go into details, but what my husband does has to do with locating people like this evil man.  And so I'm proud, that our armed forces has finally been able to hunt him down like the coward that he was.

But I'm also a pregnant woman with a deployed husband in the Middle East.  And after the joy of knowing that man is now gone fear began to creep in.  I think the greatest fear is that there will be retaliation.  And my husband, along with the husbands and wives of many other Americans (as well as those from other countries) are now in an area that could become even more hostile.  I'm anxiously awaiting speaking to my husband about this.....he's been asleep and probably doesn't know.

So I'm saying a prayer tonight for those troops.  Come home safe.

  1. It's such shocking news. I hope all goes well for your husband and everyone else who's put himself or herself in harm's way for the sake of national security.

  3. I've been thinking of you throughout this. I wondered if G would be in more danger because of it. Will continue to be thinking of and praying for you two until he is home. It must be so hard for you guys, especially with the little one!
