I had a brunch with a good friend here in the city. She made the most amazing frittata and some marinated tomatoes. Along with that was a bowl of fresh, delicious cantaloupe, some cornbread, and some mini croissants. Orange juice and coffee. It felt decadent, tasted delicious, and the conversation was lovely. Then it was off to have coffee and window shop with another friend (I didn't even know they made decaf espresso). All together a lovely day.
I called my maman and my MIL and wished them a happy Mother's Day. I had an e-mail from G with a poem he wrote and a little note that had me crying. It's nice to know that he appreciates this huge task I'm undertaking in order to give him an heir. :)
And now I'm glad it's just me because I see a nap in my future. I need to use up some leeks and make leek and potato soup, but that's going to have to wait. It's a day of rest, and I am going to take advantage!
Happy Mother's Day Kalee!!!
