Things I Learned This Evening

That mussels with bread and wine is enough to make me giggly.  I have been craving mussels so badly lately but had been afraid to try them here in the U.S.  I guess I thought the Americans would undercook them and kill me.  Eh.

That Trader Joe taffy really does make the world go round but is a choking hazzard.

That one should not have taffy in one's mouth when opening the car door to find one's husband had sneaked and bought flowers while you were preoccupied and placed them on your seat.

That as smart as I am my first thought was, "Who put flowers in our car?"

That when admitting to this line of thought my husband first was wondering if I had a stalker I hadn't mentioned.  I do, but I won't mention it now!

And finally that there is nothing like champagne and blueberries to end a simple, wonderful evening.
